Arms transfers encompass a spectrum of military weaponry sourced through various channels, including commercial sales, governmental aid, and charitable gifts, as well as those facilitated by manufacturing licenses. The scope of these transfers is concentrated on major conventional weaponry, which includes advanced aircraft, heavily armored vehicles, artillery systems, comprehensive radar technologies, strategic missiles, and military-grade vessels. Notably excluded from this data set are small arms, light weaponry, logistical vehicles, munitions, ancillary equipment, and related technology or support services. The reported values are calculated through SIPRI's Trend Indicator Values (TIVs), expressed in millions of US dollars, with a value of '0' indicating a total delivery worth less than $0.5 million, thus highlighting the scale of military engagement in global arms trade.
