This indicator captures the financial assistance provided by official donors to certain countries and territories identified in Part II of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) list, which included more developed nations in Central and Eastern Europe, former Soviet republics, and selected advanced developing regions. The measure reflects net
aid flows by subtracting repayments from the total aid received and is expressed in constant 2020 U.S. dollars to account for inflation, ensuring a more accurate comparison over time. Although the DAC's Part II classification was discontinued in 2005 and data collection for these countries ceased after 2004, this indicator remains crucial for analyzing historical trends in international aid distribution and its evolving impact on recipient nations' development trajectories.
